The Department of Basic Science serves as the intellectual backbone of our engineering college, nurturing the fundamental knowledge for budding engineers. It encompasses the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, essential for developing the analytical and scientific expertise required in advanced engineering studies. Physics ignites the spark of innovation, Chemistry fuels the creation of new materials, Mathematics maps the path to precision, and English brings ideas to life through clear communication- together, they forge the foundation of engineering excellence.

The department fosters curiosity and scientific temper among first year students, enabling a smooth transition into core engineering subjects. A well established mentorship system ensures that students receive the emotional and academic support needed to thrive. The faculties are not only highly qualified but also cooperative and supportive fostering a conducive teaching environment for our students.

Beyond classroom, we promote academic excellence through interactive learning, laboratory work and interdisciplinary collaboration giving students a holistic understanding of how science shapes modern engineering solutions. Our commitment to academic excellence, foundational strength, and ethical scientific practice continues to make a lasting impact on every aspiring engineer’s journey.

Physics Lab

Physics Lab provides hands-on experience to understand and apply basic principles of physics. It helps bridge the gap between theory and real-world applicatins. Understand physical laws through experiments. Develop measurement and observation skills. Improve data analysis and scientific reasoning. Learn proper use of lab instruments

Applied chemistry is the branch of chemistry that focuses on practical applications of chemical knowledge. It differs from pure chemistry, which primarily focuses on advancing fundamental knowledge within the field. Applied chemistry uses chemical principles to address challenges in diverse areas like industry, medicine, and environmental science. This lab is equipped with abels apparatus, muffle furnace, conductivity meter, redwood viscometer etc.

Language Laboratory (Language Lab) is a dedicated space equipped with audio-visual and digital tools to assist students in learning, practicing, and improving their language skills, especially listening, speaking, reading, and writing. To enhance communication skills in English and/or other languages. To provide individualized language learning. To improve pronunciation, accent, fluency, and comprehension. To support preparation for competitive exams and professional communication
